OUR CAUSE

Home OUR CAUSE

Our cause is to empower people to follow their dreams, to empower women, to empower Greece…

Character, energy, ideas, enthusiasm are all words with Greek origin but also part of the recipe to achieve one’s goals and inspire.

CHARACTER

It’s not the DNA that makes you stand out, it’s your character. At “A woman can be” we see beyond stereotypes and everyday life routines. We wish to make a difference. Yes, a woman can be dynamic, strong, sexy, sweet, fragile, caring and still demanding. A woman can be a professional, a mother, a housewife, a climber. Yes, a woman can dream, break the rules and still be socially acceptable.

IDEA

Do you have any idea how high a woman can reach? Before answering the question, think of what “top” means for you. Top in the professional sector? Top of the world? Greece on top? Whatever your answered… is part of the effort for Vanessa Archontidou and Christina Flampouri.

ENERGY

Two everyday women who have achieved high professional positions in multinational companies and want to conquer the seven highest summits of each continent. It seems bold, doesn’t it? If they conquer all 7 summits, they will be the first Greek women to achieve it. The team has already conquered four of them: Kilimanjaro – Africa (Vanessa 2014, Christina 2017), Aconcagua – South America (Vanessa 2015, Christina reached 6500m), Elbrus – Europe (2016) and McKinley/Denali – North America (2017).

STATISTICS

Worldwide there are 71 women so far, who have completed successfully the 7 summits project (none from Greece).

Out of 4.093 people who have conquered Everest, only 10% are women and still Greece has not yet celebrated a female success.

DYNAMIC

This year, Vanessa and Christina aim to conquer one of the next 3 summits that will contribute to completing their goal. In this effort, they will be supported by Nikos Mangitsis, who is the first and only Greek that has completed the 7 Summits Project in 2008. In this endeavor, you can also become a member of the team.

ENTHUSIASM

If you believe that with enthusiasm, preparation, organization and vision … everything can be done, then you share the same values with us!
Welcome to “A woman can be” team!
